Privacy policy

The short version: Social Pokies Play is built to know as little about you as possible. Here's the full picture of what is — and isn't — collected, in plain language.

1. No account system, no profiles

There is no active account system on this site. We do not hold user profiles, email lists or login databases. You can use every part of the site without telling us who you are.

2. The Register and Log in forms

Our Register and Log in pages are a visual preview only. When you press their buttons:

  • nothing you typed is submitted or transmitted anywhere;
  • no email address, display name or password is stored — not on a server, not on your device;
  • no account or session is created.

We recommend not typing a real password into preview forms anywhere on the web — including ours — simply as good practice.

3. No payment data

The site has no payments, purchases or subscriptions, so we never ask for or process card numbers, bank details or any other financial information.

4. The contact form

The contact form is currently a preview as well: messages are not sent or stored when you press send. If we connect it in future, this policy will be updated first to explain exactly what happens to your message.

5. What's stored in your browser

The only data this site keeps lives in your own browser, on your own device. Depending on your choice in the storage notice, that can include:

  • your age confirmation (essential);
  • your storage preference itself (essential);
  • virtual coin balances and best scores for each game (optional);
  • local game progress and settings, where a game offers them (optional).

None of this identifies you, and none of it is transmitted to us. Choosing “Essential only” keeps storage to the first two items. You can delete everything at any time via your browser's site-data settings — see our cookies & storage policy.

6. No analytics or advertising

We do not run analytics scripts, advertising trackers or social media pixels. Our web host may record standard technical logs (such as IP addresses in server logs) as part of operating any website; we do not use these to identify or profile visitors.

7. External links

Our responsible play page links to New Zealand support organisations. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we don't control — worth a glance if you visit them.

8. Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you have rights of access and correction over personal information an organisation holds about you. Because we don't hold personal information about visitors, there is generally nothing for us to retrieve — but if you believe otherwise, contact us and we will help.

9. Changes and contact

If our practices change — for example, if accounts or the contact form go live — we will update this policy before the change takes effect. Questions are always welcome through the contact page.
